Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills or stains) in one time without the need to change devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer for its modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to install. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and a quick-start guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, hard floor solution and water tank in a matter of minutes.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can mops up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only drawback is that it can hit objects and walls at a high speed, but a quick glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going, and which obstacles it's run into or avoided.
The docking station has an LCD display that indicates when maintenance is needed for cleaning up debris and washing the water tank that is dirty. It is also able to mix detergent into the tank automatically by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. robot vacuum cleaner best can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in standard mode, before needing recharging or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot mop and vacuum. The model this year has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners might overlook.
As with the two other Roborock models I've tried it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which helps it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and decide whether they're a wall or another surface. It is able to change its course in a way that is automatic and clean around them without stumbling.
It's the most expensive model I've tried, but it also has the most features. Its sleek, angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop button, which doubles as a child-lock and a home-button that can bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin fills up automatically.
The only issue I have discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. You can replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for washing manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a number intelligent features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these using the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track the battery life and maintain your components. However, you'll have to go through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model, which is a shame considering how well it performs otherwise.

3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop equipped with incredible suction power, sophisticated mowing capabilities, and a variety of innovative features. Its smart design allows you to customize and efficiently clean while reducing time.
The X40 is the first robot vacuum cleaner to provide 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the most effective alternatives available. This powerful vacuum removes dry debris, including pet hair and crumbs. It also comes with a high-quality mop that leaves hard floors sparkling clean, even without a wet pad. The X40 is also very quiet when in operation and only occasionally bursting during modes changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has a side brush that is able to be lifted and extended. This lets it reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved such as table and chair legs. It can also get under furniture that is low-profile, making it an excellent choice for small apartments or condos. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with repeated back-andforth movements.
Contrary to other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can vacuum and mop at the same time. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for a seamless voice-controlled operation.
The app is simple to use and intuitive, and the X40 has many smart features that are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many features which make it a good option for busy families. The docking station can automatically empty the dustbin, and clean the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also detect if the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation prior to it bursting.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has many characteristics that make it stand out. Its mops have a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the conventional method, and it has a high maximum suction power of 7,000Pa. This is much higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can vacuum up pet hair and smaller dirt particles in addition to removing spills and wet spots.
The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot vacuums and mop models, and it could be a useful way of keeping your home clean for longer.
There are plenty of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or use the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also offers a number of functions that are not available on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design that has a white-and-metallic look that looks elegant and elegant. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not too heavy. It feels solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
